Every second month, a beautifully curated and designed special edition book will be delivered directly to your door, exclusive to The Book Cove.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Starting in June 2025, you’ll be billed at the beginning of the month, with your book shipped out close to the end of the month.
We’ll post reveals for each book 1 month prior (atleast) the renewal date, so you’ll have enough time to skip if needed! You can skip as many times as you like, but should you skip more than 2 times in a row, we’ll need to cancel your subscription.
The month after your billing is processed and your book ships, we’ll give your wallet a rest! Take the time to enjoy your new book baby until the next month, where we’ll do it all over again.
All books will feature:
- Redesigned hardcovers covers with single or dual tone foiling. There may be a dust jacket, if it fits the vision!
- Digitally sprayed edges which will be THICKER than alot of our previous books!
- Illustrated end papers
- Bound in artworks (often vellum overlays!)
- Redesigned interior formatting

What features will the books have?
Each book will feature an exclusive and redesigned hardcover with single or dual tone foiling, digitally sprayed edges, illustrated end papers, bound in artworks (often vellum overlays!) and newly redesigned interior formatting.
What makes this different to the monthly pre-order system?
Monthly pre-orders often come with a long wait (3-6 months) as we produce the books.
With the subscription, you’ll receive a book to your door, every second month. No need to calculate which month a book will arrive, or plan months in advance.
How much will it cost?
South African subscribers: ZAR579 (including VAT)
International subscribers: USD35 (excluding VAT and duties, if applicable in your country)
What types of books will be featured in the subscription?
Books within the romance and fantasy genres.
Will the books be adult rated?
Books may be both adult or YA rated.
Does The Book Cove ship internationally?
Yes! Please check out our Shipping Rates page to see if we will ship to your country.
Will the books be signed?
All books will be hang signed, where possible, or digitally signed.
Will I know what book I will receive, in advance?
Yes! We will post reveals for the book one month (minimum) prior to the renewal date. This gives you time to skip, should you not fancy the selection.
What happens if I don't like the selected book for the month?
You can skip, no questions asked! However, if you skip more than 2 books in a row, your subscription will be canceled.
How many times can I skip a book?
As many times as you’d like! However, if you skip more than 2 times in a row, your subscription will be canceled.
Will The Book Cove still have books to pre-order, which are not part of the subscription?
Yes! We will still have pre-orders during some months.
Can I purchase a book from the subscription if I am not subscribed?
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will be able to obtain a subscription book if you are not a subscriber. There may be extra copies after subscription copies have shipped, but these will be extremely limited.
